Blacksmith training

Forge Maelström offers 3 basic training programs for the initiation and learning of traditional blacksmithing.

All training is offered as a "private lesson" in our workshop.

For your safety, bring steel-toed boots, cotton or wool clothing, and comfortable work gloves.

1- INITIATION TO THE FORGE

Duration of 3h

This program aims to introduce you to basic techniques by making a small dragon or ram that you can keep as a souvenir.

2- FORGE AN AX

Duration of 6h

Program including all the basic techniques necessary for forging an ax.

3- FORGING A KNIFE

Duration 8 to 10 hours

Complete program that covers the manufacture of a hand-forged knife, from design to finish before hardening.
